ISLAND OF BLOOD (AKA:  WHODUNIT)-IT'S 80'S SLASHER TIME AGAIN.  THIS TIME A MOVIE CREW IS FILMING A MURDER MYSTERY ON A REMOTE ISLAND.  ONE BY ONE THEY ARE BEING KILLED BY A UNKNOWN ASSAILANT.  IN A NICE LITTLE TWIST BEFORE THE MURDERS OCCURS A CASSETTE IS GIVEN TO THE GROUP WHICH PLAYS A SONG IN WHICH THEY ARE TOLD WHICH VICTIM IS GOING TO BE NEXT TO BE MURDERED.   FOR THE GORE HOUNDS WE HAVE SOME NICE GORY DEATHS (ACID BATHS, STABS AND CHAINSAWS) PLUS A PRETTY TWISTED ENDING.

LOOMIS" CHARACTER THEN FOLLOWS ARE MANIAC TO TRY AND STOP HIM.  NOTHING TO ORIGINAL, BUT FUN NONETHELESS.  

SOMETHING EVIL & CROWHAVEN FARM (MADE FOR TV DOUBLE FEATURE)- SOMETHING EVIL STARS Sandy Dennis AND Darren McGavin AS A MARRIED COUPLE WITH kids WHO move into a possessed Pennsylvania farmhouse occupied by the devil himself!  This early Steven Speilberg TV movie comes on the heels of his classic "Duel" and shares some similarities with his later production, "Poltergeist".   hE EVEN makes a cameo appearance.   THE SECOND FEATURE CROWHAVEN FARM DEALS WITH A COUPLE WHO COME INTO POSSESSION OF SAID FARM AND DECIDE TO MOVE INTO IT TO TRY AND SAVE THEIR TROUBLED MARRIAGE.  PROBLEM IS THE WIFE BEGINS TO SENSE THAT ALL IS NOT RIGHT AND THAT PERHAPS TO STORIES OF THE FARM BEING HAUNTED AND A HOME TO A ANCIENT COVEN OF WITHES MIGHT BE TRUE.

SOUL OF NIGGER CHARLEY-HARDER THEN HELL TO FIND SEQUEL TO BLAXPLOITATION-WESTERN THE LEGEND OF NIGGER CHARLY STARRING FRED WILLIAMSON.  THE PRINT IS NOT THE GREATEST QUALITY.  IT'S WATCHABLE, BUT IS REALLY FADED AND HAS A SLIGHT HUM ON THE SOUNDTRACK.

CAGE WITHOUT A KEY-Made for tv movie that is a scaled down version of linda blair's born innocent.  this time susan dey's is a high school student who accepts a ride from a boy she doesn't know.  next thing you know she's being forced to participate in robbery in which clerk is killed.  they get caught and despite her protestations of innocence she is convicted and sent to prison school for girls.  she finds out the hard way that her troubles are just beginning.  while in the reform school she meets your typical W.I.P. sterotypes.  We've got the militant black chick.  the unwed and uneducated expectant girl.  the leader of the lesbian gang who causes are girl nothing but trouble and of course there is the sympathetic teacher.  look for who's the boss? katherine helmond (horny grandma mona) as a teacher.

CAPTAIN MIDNIGHT (aka: on the air live with captain midnight)-classic made for tv movie about a teenager who has a super powerful cb radio in his van that allows him to take over the radio airwaves and become a renegade dee-jay.

CINEMA OF PAIN-yet another crazy compilation focusing on exploitation, gore, b-movies, weird foreign films and other psychotronic moments.  once again great party tape.  THOUGH IT DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY XXX SCENES IT STILL IS RECOMMENDED FOR ADULTS ONLY PLEASE.

CLEOPATRA JONES-She purrs like a kitten and makes love like a siren. This side of the pacific, she is the meanest, deadliest and sexiest secret agent.  They Call Her... Cleopatra Wong (also known as Cleopatra Wong and Female Big Boss) is a 1978 joint-production of Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong film companies, starring Marrie Lee and George Estregan. The film, riding on the success of Hong Kong martial arts films of the era as well as the James Bond and superspy craze, details the adventures of a female Interpol agent.

CONCRETE JUNGLE-director Tom DeSimone's mini-masterpiece to the w.i.p. genre  is a sleazy, and fun camp-fest.  though this puppy is done rather tongue-in-cheek, like it was meant as a spoof of the W.I.P. none the less it's still highly entertaining.   The beautiful young Elizabeth(Tracy Bregman) is caught smuggling cocaine. of course  she is actually innocent and didn't knew that her useless boyfriend had hidden the drugs with her stuff.  ISn't this how these things usually go?  anyway she is sentenced for three years in a rehabilitation institution for women! Three years where she  must face various grim and debauching episodes of deranged inmates, the brutal guards and the evil Warden Fletcher (played by former Bond-babe Jill St. John) Highlights include a razor blade assault in the shower room, a girl who gets underpants forced down her throat, a wild catfight in the dining hall, a rape by a male guard that is put in contrast with a woman giving birth.  Yep...it's that type of movie.   and finally a great fight scene where all the prisoners in the yard get loose on each other and the guards!  also features  water-cannons, lots of mud and exposed tits!

THE CORRUPTION OF CHRIS MILLER-pretty rare Spanish giallo starring jean seberg.   Film starts off with the startling sight of the killer in a charlie chaplin get-up hacking away at his latest victim has got to be worth a look!  the killer uses a scythe to slash his murder victims.  is the killer the evil stepmother, the put upon step daughter or the mysterious new man that shows up at their doorstep?

DIARY OF A TEENAGE HITCHHIKER-fantastic made for TV movie from 1979.  this one has lucy ewing (charlene tilton) plays a young woman with big ambitions in life.  unfortunately she doesn't have a car so her and her friends hitch rides to and from the beach.  unfortunately there is a psycho on the loose whose picking up these hitchhikers and killing them.   this was the big made for TV movie to warn parents about their kids hitchhiking because their might be some nut jobs out their preying on their young attractive daughters.  great cast featuring katherine helmond (mona from whose the boss?), dick van patten, craig t. nelson and his future co-star the late dominique dunne and peter brady himself Christopher knight.  highly recommended.

dISCO FEVER-in the what the hell where the thinking department comes this lousy, horrible, awful German disco movie.  that's right a German disco movie.   this is supposed to be a 'sex comedy' so I'll let you be the judge.  it's about some German teens trying to get their cherries popped intermixed with some of the lamest disco performances  you'll ever see as well as piss poor dubbing, super bad fx, and some satanic jiving.  you've been warned!

DYNAMITE JOHNSON (AKA: BIONIC BOY II)-all right this one has to be seen because no plot synopsis will do it justice!  imagine a little philppino kid dressed in the same leisure and track suits that lee majors used to wear  running in gratuitous slow motion all the time and you have dynamite johnson!  oh and did i mention that film has a machine gun blasting, rocket launching, flame spitting dragon tank along with world domination, eye patch wearing Nazi villains.  

EDGE OF THE AX-Spanish director Jose Ramon Lorez DIRECTS THIS "STAB" AT THE SLASHER GENRE.  Set in a remote tranquil town called Paddock County, EDGE OF THE AXE tells the tale of a violent masked murderer that begins hacking his way through the hapless townsfolk one by one with a large hatchet. The Police are left with no clues whatsoever and at first try to keep the brutal slayings under wraps. As the body count mounts up it becomes increasingly difficult to deny that a maniac is at large, and soon the authorities are forced to leak the shocking truth to the terrified community. Two young lovers are forced to feel the effects of the terror upon their relationship when suspicions begin to grow between them.  HAS IT'S MOMENTS AND IS WELL WORTH CHECKING OUT.

THE FINAL TERROR-EARLY 80'S SLASHER IN THE FRIDAY THE 13TH/THE BURNING CLONE.  hard-to-come-by AND IS probably best known for the stars that appear in it: Rachel Ward, Daryl Hannah and Adrian Zmed.  It is also an early entry for the director Andrew Davis FUTURE DIRECTOR OF THE Harrison Ford flick The Fugitive.  a group of teens go on a camping trip deep into the woods and are then picked off one-by-one in the grand tradition BY A MYSTERIOUS KILLER.

GOLDFACE THE FANTASTIC SUPERMAN-ENTERTAINING Italian Superhero/EUROSPY film.  GOLDFACE and his giant Zulu warrior pal, who IS ALWAYS EATING PEANUTS, wrestle through several battle royals on the way to stopping the global super terrorist...THE COBRA!  The Cobra speaks in the third person and LIKES TO kill his henchmen A LOT.  THERE'S Motorcycle racing, plane flying, wrestling and MORE IMPORTANTLY GOLDFACE making the ladies scream his name.  ENJOY!

HAUNTS OF THE VERY RICH-PRETTY WEIRD MADE FOR TV MOVIE FROM THE 70'S.  A group of RICH people are on a plane flying to an island resort. When they land, they are greeted by a mysterious black man (Moses Gunn), and the plot STARTS TO KICK IN.  HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE Cloris Leachman geTTING a makeover from a mysterious black woman in a scene laden with homoerotic undertones THAT MAKES YOU WONDER HOW IT GOT PAST THE CENSORS.  LLOYD BRIDGES ENDS UP FALLING HEAD OVER HEELS FOR HER.  We ALSO find out that Robert Reed is a minister tormented by his own conflicted spirituality; Anne Francis is an unhappy housewife strung out on prescription uppers and downers; and Ed Asner has a very, very hairy back IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING.  finally WE LEARN THAT   just before setting off on their journey, each of the guests had narrowly escaped death...or had they?   ALSO OF NOTICE IS THAT ALL THE MYSTERIOUS CHARACTERS ON THE ISLAND IN THIS FILM ARE EITHER BLACK OR DARK SKINNED.  hMMM....

HELLRAISER BLOODLINE WORKPRINT-HERE IS A ULTRA RARE FIND!  A WORKPRINT OF BLOODLINE THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE THEATRICAL ALAN SMITHEE PRINT.  HERE ARE SOME OF THE CHANGES TAKEN FROM JOBLO.COM HORROR FORUM.   

-Rather than have the first half hour be about the first LeMarchand in the 19th century, the film opens with Angelique being killed and turned into a Demon by the French sorcerers, much like part of the introduction in the original [there are no scenes of LeMarchand w/his wife]. The films then cuts to the present day Marchand. The remaining scenes of the past are shown as flashbacks throughout the rest of the film (one of the most notable missing scenes that I saw in the trailer that was never in the theatrical film was when Angelique is shown killing a group of countrymen at the French Sorcerer's box [they mistaken the box as a kind of stripping game]-- in addition to this scene being in the workprint, there is an alternate scene of Angelique killing the sorcerer in the 19th century as well as killing her partner in the present day).

-There is some alternate dialogue between Angelique, Pinhead, and Marchand in the present day and future scenes.

-In one of the climactic scenes between Marchand and Pinhead involving the configuration, Pinhead shoots out a chain and manages to soar above the lasers.

-Almost all of the dialogue spoken by Angelique is in a French accent-- this explains (which I always wondered) why her dialogue sounded dubbed over in the theatrical version (because it was).

-There is a hologram of a priest in the beginning of the scene in space-- he is praying w/Marchand.

-One of the soldier's dies differently (he is killed by a flying object and then the dog as opposed to chains).

-Marchand dies w/Pinhead as well as the rest of the cenobites (Pinhead shoots a chain through Marchand's chest-- Marchand pulls Pinhead to him and they die together-- before this, Marchand speaks with the cenobite Angelique about his family's past).

-The film is unfinished, so there are a lot of black screen cues (e.g. insert gore shot, special effects).

HONKY-WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A CLEAN-CUT ALL AMERICAN WHITE HIGH SCHOOL KID HOOKS UP WITH A CUTE BLACK GIRL FROM SCHOOL.  according TO THIS FILM HE ENDS UP GETTING IN TO SELLING DRUGS AND GETTING BEAT UP BY THE BLACK DUDES FOR BEING A HONKY.  NOT QUITE SURE WHAT THEY WERE THINKING ABOUT WHEN THEY MADE THIS MOVIE, BUT IT'S ENTERTAINING AS HELL.

HORROR AT 37,000 FEET-FANTASTIC MADE FOR TV MOVIE THAT IS A CLASSIC IN THE GENRE.  A ARCHITECT AND HIS WIFE ARE FLYING FROM LONDON TO L.A. WITH AN ALTAR FROM AN ANCIENT ABBEY SECURED IN THE PLANE'S CARGO HOLD.  UNFORTUNATELY THE ALTAR CONTAINS A INVISIBLE DEMON WHO ENDS UP ESCAPING AND HOLDS THE PLANE HOSTAGE IN A EFFORT TO DESTROY THE ARCHITECT'S WIFE.   GREAT CAST INCLUDES BUDDY EBSEN AS A MILLIONAIRE, WILLIAM SHATNER AT HIS FINEST AS A DRUNKEN, CYNICAL EX-PRIEST, TAMMY GRIMES AS THE NUTJOB, AND THE RIFLEMAN HIMSELF CHUCK CONNORS AS THE LANTERN-JAWED PILOT.  THIS IS HIGHLY ENTERTAINING AND RECOMMENDED.

THE PEOPLE-MADE FOR TV MOVIE FROM THE 70'S STARRING KIM DARBY AND WILLIAM SHATNER.  A young woman is assigned to teach school in a secluded valley whose inhabitants appear stern, secretive and anti-pleasure. Following two children who disappear to play in the woods, she finds that this is actually a community of extraterrestrials with mild paranormal powers who are attempting to repress and deny their heritage for fear of arousing prejudice and hatred in their human neighbors.

SCREAMS OF A WINTER NIGHT-PRETTY DECENT HORROR ANTHOLOGY FILM ABOUT SOME COLLEGE STUDENTS CAMPING WHO ALL TELL EACH OTHER SCARY STORIES.   THOUGH IT'S PG RATED IT STILL  HAS SOME GOOD MOMENTS AND IS WORTH CHECKING OUT FOR ANTHOLOGY FANS CONSIDERING HOW SCARCE IT IS.

SKIN 'EM ALIVE-HERE IS A SLEAZE FEST THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER AFTER WATCHING.  THE PEOPLE IN THIS FILM ARE VILE AND UGLY.   rUDY IS A GUY WITH MONEY PROBLEMS WHO HEADS OFF TO FIND HIS BROTHER IN aFRICA.  rUDY'S BROTHER IS A MERCENARY AND HE THINKS THAT HIS BROTHER MAY HAVE A HIDDEN STASH OF DIAMONDS.  RUDY'S BROTHER SENDS HIM PACKING, BUT THEN HE ENDS UP GETTING KIDNAPPED BY SOME REBELS SO rUDY GOES OFF WITH THE OTHER MERCENARIES TO RESCUE HIS BROTHER.    SO BEGINS A GREAT DEAL OF KILLING AND RAPING.  MOST OF IT IS WHITE ON BLACK VIOLENCE WITH EMERCENARIES MOWING DOWN EVERYONE THAT GETS IN THEIR WAY.  THE KILL THE MEN AND RAPE THE WOMEN.  VERY NIHILISTIC AND MAKES YOU WONDER WHY IT WAS EVEN MADE.

SOLE SURVIVOR-A B-25 bomber is discovered in the middle of the Libian desert and an Air Force investigation team is called in to examine it. The team quickly discovers that it has not been touched since crashing a quarter century earlier. They also discover the plane's navigator survived and is now an Air Force general. The problem? He said the plane went down in the mediterrainian after the captain ordered the crew to bail out. This story has an interesting supernatural twist.  CLASSIC TV MOVIE STARRING WILLIAM SHATNER.
